Nicky Lodge is a Must Visit!
My partner and I stayed at Nicky Amazon Lodge doing the 4 Day/3 Night package and our stay was INCREDIBLE!! The accommodation was comfortable, the food was delicious (I’m vegetarian and always had more than enough to eat at each meal), and the sightseeing was amazing. Our favorite experience was visiting the local tribal community and learning about indigenous culture and ways of life. Taking a dip in the river was also a must! We had Evi as a tour guide and he was probably the best tour guide that we’ve ever had, out of anywhere we’ve traveled. Evi was SO knowledgeable and well-versed in Amazon flora and fauna. We had a great time exploring the Amazon with him and we were so disappointed to say goodbye. We took the private shuttle from Quito to the Cuyabeno Bridge and it went about as well as a bus ride that long could go. Stopped frequently for bathroom breaks and was as comfortable as it could be with all of the bumps in the road. Overall, we were very glad we chose to stay at Nicky Lodge! It was a 10/10 experience. We were very impressed by their sustainability practices, staff/guides, food, and accommodations and would recommend it to anyone choosing to stay in the Ecuadorian Amazon!

Hidden gem in the Amazon region
Amazing lodge in the middle of the Amazon region. The ride to the lodge is somewhat long (10+ hours bus ride and 3 to 4 hour boat trip) but during the boat trip you basically have your first excursion. The driver of the boat and guide take the greatest care in spotting animals and position the boat so that everyone has a chance to take photos. The food is great, they will take care of dietary requirements as well. You will not go hungry. Our guide Elias was a joy to have around as he is very calm and has a lot of knowledge. Explaining every detail when asked and spots things we wouldn't have seen on our own. Big shout-out to Rom, who was the main guide during the trip. But the whole crew was super friendly. Best place for tour of the cuyabeno reserve.
Wonderful location in the amazon rainforest. Calm and cozy atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and have warm water showers. Great value for money they offer a lot of activities. The rooms are clean and the facilities are well maintained. It is a very calm place with only the natural noises. Our guide Evi was very knowledgeable and great at explaining everything about the rainforest. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the trip.

A must do in Ecuador!
Great experience in the Amazon of Ecuador. Great guides, delicious food, beautiful room. But above all a fantastic environment!
