Día 1 - Llegada y Laguna Grande
The journey begins at “El Puente del Cuyabeno” at 10:30 am, the main entrance to the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. Before heading down the Cuyabeno River by motorized canoe for about 2.5 hours to Nicky Amazon Lodge. Along the way, we may spot monkeys and birds. On arrival, enjoy a welcome cocktail, room assignment, and some time to relax before lunch.
Later, we’ll head to Laguna Grande, a 30-minute canoe ride away, to explore the ‘Igapó’ flooded forest. You can swim in the calm waters and enjoy the Amazonian sunset. As night falls, we’ll observe nocturnal wildlife like bats and caimans before returning to the lodge for dinner, where our guide will brief us on the next day’s activities.
Day 2 - Jungle Walk & Paddling Canoe
In the early morning, we’ll search for monkeys and birds in the rainforest, then return to the lodge for breakfast. After a brief rest, we’ll head out on a jungle hike where our guide will share insights about local flora and ecosystems. We might see butterflies, toads, and birds along the way. Back at the lodge, we’ll have lunch and time to relax, swim, play soccer, or enjoy nature.
In the afternoon, we’ll take a canoe trip along the river to observe wildlife such as monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths, and pink dolphins. Before dinner, we’ll go on a night hike to spot spiders, insects, snakes, and frogs.
Día 3 - Visita a la Comunidad Seoqueya
Temprano por la mañana realizaremos observación de aves en canoa, remando y apreciando la fauna local. Después, regresaremos al lodge para desayunar. Posteriormente, visitaremos la comunidad indígena Siona, participando en la cosecha de yuca y la preparación de “Casabe”, pan típico de la región, mientras aprendemos sobre sus costumbres y tradiciones. Almorzaremos con la comunidad. Regreso al lodge para descansar. Por la tarde daremos un paseo por la selva para observar insectos, arañas y ranas arborícolas. Cena.
Day 4 - Paddling Conoe
In the morning, we’ll go birdwatching along the river by canoe, then return to the lodge for breakfast. Later, we’ll paddle through the jungle, enjoying the scenery and jungle sounds while searching for exotic species. Our guide will share insights on the medicinal uses of plants. Afterward, we’ll return to the lodge for lunch and a rest. In the afternoon, we’ll canoe along the Cuyabeno River to look for pink dolphins. Dinner follows.
Day 5 - Paddling & Return to Quito
Temprano por la mañana haremos una breve excursión en canoa para observar la vida silvestre. Después del desayuno, empacaremos y haremos el check-out a las 08:00 am.
Recibiremos un refrigerio de despedida para el regreso a El Puente de Cuyabeno, llegando aproximadamente a las 10:30 am, donde un autobús privado nos llevará de regreso a Quito.
IMPORTANTE
- Si desea regresar en autobús público, puede hacerlo, deberá tomar un autobús desde el Puente Cuyabeno hasta Lago Agrio y desde allí tomar el autobús de regreso a Quito, este autobús pasa por el puente cada hora.
- Todas las rutas y programas están sujetos a cambios sin previo aviso debido a regulaciones de reserva, condiciones climáticas, eventos naturales, cambios estacionales o razones de seguridad. La flexibilidad es la clave para el éxito de cada tour. La seguridad de nuestros pasajeros es nuestra máxima prioridad.
- The activities might seem repetitive in this excursion, but the rainforest is unpredictable, and something could always surprise us.
- Si tu entrada es los lunes y jueves, la visita a la comunidad será el tercer día del recorrido.
- Si su ingreso es el martes y viernes la visita a la comunidad será el segundo día del recorrido.

- Transporte en canoa motorizada DESDE/HACIA El Puente de Cuyabeno al Lodge y DESDE el Lodge al Puente de Cuyabeno.
- Cóctel de bienvenida y despedida.
- Alojamiento en habitaciones confortables con baño privado y ducha de agua caliente.
- Comidas completas (desayuno, almuerzo y cena); menús vegetarianos o veganos según se requiera. Meriendas antes de las actividades de la tarde.
- Estación de café, agua purificada, café y té siempre disponibles.
- Excursiones guiadas con guías naturalistas bilingües (inglés y español) certificados durante todas las excursiones.
- Chalecos salvavidas y botas de goma (hasta la talla 48).
