The tips will prepare you for a safe and respectful immersion in one of the world’s most biodiverse ecosystems. Get ready to discover the beauty and secrets of the rainforest, while actively contributing to its conservation and supporting local communities.

Nicky Amazon Lodge recommends
An original photo ID (PASSPORT OR ID CARD – Mandatory!). This is a necessary requirement for your trip. Make sure you always have it with you.
Rain poncho. The Amazon rainforest can be unpredictable in terms of weather, so a good rain poncho will keep you dry during your excursions.
Long-sleeve shirts, long pants, and cotton socks for excursions. Protect you from insects and dense vegetation. Opt for lightweight, breathable materials for comfort.
Shorts, sandals or sneakers, and comfortable footwear. For relaxing moments at the lodge, wear light clothing and comfortable shoes.
Flashlight with spare batteries for nighttime activities. It is essential to explore the jungle at night and see the night life. Don’t forget spare batteries.
Personal medications you usually take. Ensure that you carry enough medication for the duration of your stay, as pharmacies will not be easy to access.
Personal toiletries (we provide biodegradable soap and shampoo). Bring your favorite toiletries, but keep in mind that we provide biodegradable options to take care of the environment.
Swimsuit.To enjoy swimming in the Laguna Grande, don’t forget your bathing suit.
Hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses with a strap, mosquito repellent. These items are essential to protect you from the sun and insects.
Waterproof or water-repellent backpack. Ideal for carrying your belongings during excursions and making sure they stay dry.
Zipper bag for camera or binoculars (10×40 recommended). Protect your photographic equipment and binoculars from humidity and rain.
Notebook, wet wipes, reading material. A notebook to record your observations, wet wipes for hygiene and reading material to relax in the lodge.
