DEPARTURES ANY DAY WITH A MINIMUM OF 4 PASSENGERS

Your Amazon adventure starts from Quito with two options: fly to Coca or take an overnight bus to Tarapoa. Upon arrival, transfer to the Aguarico River, where the tour begins at 12:15 PM.

As we navigate the Aguarico River, enjoy a box lunch and observe the surrounding indigenous communities. After 3 hours, we enter the Cuyabeno River, home to rich biodiversity and pink river dolphins.

Upon reaching the Kiwcha campsite, set up camp and explore the rainforest. Climb the Kichwa tower for panoramic views and birdwatching. Later, enjoy a night walk to discover the rainforest’s nocturnal life before a hearty dinner and a briefing for the next day’s activities.

Awake to the sounds of the rainforest and join an early morning search for monkeys and various bird species, a perfect time to experience the vibrant wildlife. After a healthy breakfast, explore the rainforest on a walk, learning about its delicate ecosystem and medicinal plants.

Return to camp before continuing downstream to witness the striking confluence of the Cuyabeno and Aguarico rivers. Then, navigate for 3 ½ hours towards the Peruvian border, reaching the Lagartococha River for a scenic box lunch.

Arrive at our second campsite in a remote jungle area surrounded by lagoons and small rivers. Explore the flooded ecosystems, swim near pink dolphins, and end the day with dinner and a feedback session.

Start your day with an early morning canoe ride, soaking in the peaceful sounds of the awakening rainforest. Watch for monkeys like red howlers and saki monkeys. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll navigate upstream along the Lagartococha River to visit the Secoya community in Puerto Estrella, on the Ecuador-Peru border.

The Secoya people will welcome us, sharing their customs and traditions, including a demonstration on making traditional cassava bread. After the visit, return to camp. As night falls, embark on an exciting canoe excursion to spot caimans and other nocturnal wildlife. End the day with dinner under the stars, sharing stories with fellow travelers.

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic 2-hour canoe ride back to the Aguarico River, surrounded by the lush rainforest. Our next stop is Zancudococha Lake, one of the largest in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where you can spot bird species and fish. Enjoy a box lunch while taking in the tranquil beauty of the lake.

In the afternoon, we’ll navigate upstream along the Aguarico River for 3 hours, reaching our final campsite on the Cuyabeno River. Relax and unwind in this serene setting, surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest. After dinner, you can opt for a night walk to explore the jungle’s nocturnal life.

After an early breakfast, we’ll begin our final navigation upstream along the Aguarico River, enjoying the last breathtaking views of the Amazon Basin. We expect to arrive at Tierras Orientales around 11:30 AM. This is your last chance to appreciate the stunning landscape before transitioning back to civilization.

Return to Quito.

If you’re returning to Quito by bus, we’ll connect you with the tourist bus for your journey back. For those flying, we’ll drop you off in Coca, where you’ll spend the night by yourself before catching your flight the next day at 10:00 AM.
